I believe that identifying your personal fashion style is crucial. Style says a lot about you as an individual and as I’ve mentioned before style is personality and a reflation of who you are. Developing your personal fashion style is a way to express your individuality and feel empowered. Instead of blending in you actually want people to know who you are and stand out for that.
Expressing yourself through clothes, accessories and colors is an important aspect of feeling and looking good. The good-feelings you get from the freedom of putting together your piece art boosts your self-confidence!
Staying true to your fashion persona can:
- Attract people who are similar to you (great for networking!)
- Create admiration from people around you and boost your confidence
- Make you look and feel good
Going Visual: Use Fashion Magazines
For this task, you need to use (purchase or use the ones you’ve already got) major fashion magazines such as Elle, InStyle, Cosmopolitan, Marie Claire and Harper’s Bazaar. Or any fashion-related magazine will do. You can also save your favorite fashion images from the internet and collect them in a folder on your computer.
The first step is to circle around colors, shapes, clothes and outfits that appeal to you, or cut out the images that you like.
Look at this list below and number in a piece of paper how much pieces of each style you own:
Once you have this list you will have a clear idea of what style you have.
Remember find the real you, always stay true to yourself, following the crow will only make you like everyone else, just seek inspiration but don’t based yourself in others to find yourself. Remember how beautiful you are and how valuable you are.
